Everything we do is grounded in the Word and empowered by the Spirit for the purpose of the Gospel. One simply can not live a faithful life in Christ without knowing Him through his Word, nor can someone share a gospel that they do not know.

Who is Jesus?

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully human while also fully God, one part of the Trinity, who came to live the perfect life on earth so that He could give up His Life for us so that we might be reconciled to God.

What is Salvation?

We believe to be saved a person must believe that God raised Jesus from the dead after his crucifixion and that one must confess Jesus as Lord of their life. A person is saved not by works, but through faith in Jesus, trusting him as Lord of their life. (Romans 10:9-10)

What is Baptism?

We believe in a believer’s baptism by immersion which marks the believer with a new identity in Christ. We call this getting pickled, reaching back to the original Greek words for baptism that show one comes up out of the baptismal waters changed to their core, unable to return to what they once were.

What are Spiritual Gifts?

We believe in the continuation of spiritual gifts, both natural and supernatural. All of the gifts are available for believers today and should be exercised in accordance to 1 Corinthians 14 for the edification and building up of the church. We believe in the authority given to us by Jesus to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons through the power of the Holy Spirit.

What is the Priesthood of All Believers?

We believe that all believers are to be active in their faith, exercising their God-given spiritual gifts in the church and in the world. Ministry is not limited to the staff of the church, but it is commanded by the Great Commission in Matthew 28, which is applicable to every believer.

What is Marriage?

We believe that God’s design for sex and marriage is between one biological male and one biological female, and that any marital or sexual relations outside the covenant bond of marriage between one man and one woman is sin. We believe that we are to care for those who struggle with gender dysphoria and same sex attraction as we would anyone else in the church. In caring for them, we are called to love them where they are and encourage them in the direction of God’s original purpose and design.
